ABSOLUTION SERIES

Absolution | PG-13 | Sirius makes a monumentally stupid mistake but is unable to grasp its severity.  When he realizes the gravity of what he’s done will he be able to gain Remus’ forgiveness?  Will Remus ever trust him again?

Not Going to Ask | PG | It’s the night of the full moon. Sirius’ and Remus’ friendship is on the mend but will Moony allow Padfoot to accompany him during the transformation?

Shared Uncertainty | PG | The Prank changed everything. Sirius realizes that the simplest of things have become complicated when he faces a dilemma regarding whether Remus will want, or even accept, a Christmas present from him.

Getting Better | PG | Remus has forgiven Sirius for the Prank…but has Moony? It isn't necessary to read Shared Uncertainty first.

I Thought You Wanted Me To | PG | Sometimes things – even friendship – are much simpler than expected.

Changes Us | PG | Every experience in Sirius’ life, every mistake that he has made, has helped to change him. Even the worst of his experiences, even the worst of his mistakes, have had some positive effect on his life, including his suffocating family situation and his thoughtless betrayal of one of his closest friends.

STAND ALONE

Being There | PG | Padfoot spends his first full moon with Moony.

Bring Me to Life | PG-13 | There’s a place beyond anger, beyond despair, beyond pain, beyond natural human emotion; a place where you can’t help but wonder whether light is nothing more than a hallucination of your own making.

Broken | PG | Years ago, Sirius made a promise. He swore to always be with Remus during his transformations. Even when the two friends are torn apart by suspicion, he keeps his word. What does this mean for the full moons?

Changes Abound | PG | Werewolves are widely mistrusted in the Wizarding World.  Though they are human for all but one night a month they are judged by the “monster” that is revealed only in the light of the full moon.  This prejudice makes it difficult for them to find work.  Fortunately for Remus Lupin, Dumbledore is not blinded by bigotry.

Companionship | PG | Tonks is offering Remus companionship.  Is that such a bad thing?

Enough | PG | Harry and Remus share a moment remembering Sirius.

Fragments of a Life | PG-13 | “I could hand Voldemort the Order of the Phoenix. And they’d never realize until it was too late, until they’d lost their precious war and saw me standing at Voldemort’s side. Then they’d know… I wasn’t stupid. I wasn’t slow. I wasn’t powerless. And I certainly wasn’t useless.”

Glimpses | PG | There are times when, no matter how hard he tries, Remus simply can’t understand his friend Sirius. (Also Remus’ POV of Snape’s Worst Memory…sort of.)

Injustice For All | PG-13 | When a Hogwarts student is killed by a werewolf, Remus is arrested for murder. Is he guilty? Will James and Sirius be able to save him from execution?

Moonlit Perdition | PG-13 | Sirius befriends a timid Remus and then struggles to learn more about his mysterious friend.  What brutal nightmares cause him to scream and thrash so much that he becomes entangled in sweat-drenched covers?  Why does he disappear once a month?  Is there anything Sirius can do to help him?

Never Know | PG | Never leave words unspoken. You never know when you’ll lose the opportunity to say them.

Not the Only One | PG | Remus doesn’t know how to help Harry cope with Sirius’ death but he’s standing in front of number four, Privet Drive, anyway.

Phantom Prisons | PG | Shortly after Remus leaves Hogwarts, Padfoot pays him a visit, giving the two of them the chance to talk about the doubts that drove them apart. Will the two be able to resume their friendship or will the ghosts of the last twelve years rip it from them?

Realizing | PG | Despite Sirius’ doubts, Remus is not the traitor. How and when does Sirius realize his mistake?

Remembering | PG | Harry asks Remus to tell him about his parents.

Shades of Grey | PG-13 | “I can explain it all I want, tell them why I did it, but they’ll kill me all the same. They won’t understand. They’ll only see the black and white – the lies and betrayal. They’ll never see the shades of grey.”

Still Here | PG | Sometimes friendship cannot be explained by words and can only be understood by the simplest of actions: the decision to stay.

The Calm | PG | “What if this event that we think is so horrible, this event that we think is the worst that things could get, is only the calm before the storm?”

Watching the Horizon | PG-13 | Sirius thinks he knows exactly what the curse of being a werewolf entails. Every month there’s a full moon and during that full moon, Remus transforms into a wolf and is stripped of all human reason. But what if there’s more to it than most people realize? And what if it’s worse than Sirius could have imagined?
